Care Team

The Care Team coordinates visits, meals, rides to medical appointments, and emergency child care and more for those in our church community with needs. The committee may also coordinate receptions following memorial services for those currently in our church community. They also send cards for congratulations, get well, thinking of you and condolences. They recruit and maintain a list of volunteers from the church community.

Monday Morning Book Club
Members  of the MMBC meet on the third Monday of each month at 11:00 AM at UUCM. Books are chosen each year by the whole group, from old classics to  new  authors and topical subjects. At each meeting a discussion leader will tell something about the author and start the discussion. Anyone who loves to read is welcome to join us. Women Who Read Book Club
The UUCM book group, Women Who Read,  meet the second Monday of UUCM to discuss a mix of fiction, non-fiction and classics. Women Who Read welcomes all women and non-binary people who find their home in women-centric spaces. New members are always welcome! Please contact Beth Potter for more information.

Tuesday Night Book Club
The group meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm in the Oak Room at UUCM. If you have questions, please contact Adam Schenck or Gary Charles.

Venerable Women
Especially for women 60+, this group has fun getting to know one another and exploring a monthly theme. They meet at UUCM at noon on the second Friday of the month. Please contact Sue McKnight.

Venerable Men
Especially for men 60+, this group meets at 8:00 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month at the Original Pancake House on Hwy 101 and County Road 6 in Plymouth. This group of 8-10 men always welcome more breakfasters! Please email Gary Charles for more information.

Hospitality Teams are group of 10-15  people who provide support for each Sunday service. Duties include  ushering, greeting, and coffee hour duties. If you are interested in  joining one of these teams, please contact the following people who will provide training or instructions on how to join the team.

Ushers
Usher duties include taking attendance and serving as Sanctuary greeters, helping to guide seating. Please contact office@uucmtka.org if you have any questions. To sign up for the usher schedule, click here. 

Greeters
Duties includes welcoming guests to UUCM  and making their visit a comfortable experience. Please contact Gary Charles, Membership Ministry Facilitator if you wish to join the team.  To sign up for the greeter schedule you can sign up here.

Coffee Hour
(Coffee hour hosting will resume at a later date) The coffee hour host makes coffee, tea, other beverages and sometimes treats for the social time after each Sunday service. If you would like to be part of the  Coffee Hour Hosts schedule (training will be provided) please contact MaryAnn Wiborg.
